Manufacturing Process of Universal Columns

• Heating : Steel Billets are heated in a reheating furnace to around 1200-1300°C to make the steel malleable for rolling.
• Hot Rolling : The heated steel billet passes through a series of rolling mills, which shape it into the desired Column shaped cross-section.
• Cooling : After rolling, the universal column is moved to a cooling bed to allow it to cool naturally.
• Straightening : The column may develop slight bends during cooling. It passes through straightening machines to correct any distortions.
